GE: ex-Duke Energy executive appointed on board

(CercleFinance.com) - GE has named Paula Reynolds, the CEO of business advisory firm PreferWest, on its board, replacing Jack Brennan, who is retiring after six years of service, the company said on Monday.

Reynolds, 62, began her career with Pacific Gas & Electric, and spent over 25 years in the energy industry, notably serving as the CEO of Duke Energy's services unit.

GE also said on Monday that its gas turbines will power the LNG combined cycle power plant of non-ferrous metal smelting company Korea Zinc.

Finally, GE Hitachi Nuclear Energy today announced its intent to acquire the business and certain assets of REI Nuclear, a South Carolina-based decommissioning technology and tooling design company. The acquisition is expected to be closed by the end of 2018.
