GE: shares up after health partnership with Nvidia expanded.

(CercleFinance.com) - GE shares are one of the top risers in the Dow Jones index on Monday, after the US giant said that it would join forces with chipmaker Nvidia to accelerate the adoption of artificial intelligence in healthcare.


GE Healthcare and Nvidia plan to deepen their 10-year partnership to bring sophisticated artificial intelligence to GE's 500,000 imaging devices globally, accelerating the speed at which data is processed.

The scope of the partnership was detailed today at Chicago's annual meeting of the Radiological Society of North America.

Separately, GE announced an expanded partnership with Intel, which aims to enhance patient care and reduce costs for hospitals, using digital imaging solutions, in particular through the cloud.

GE shares are currently up 1.2% at 18.4 euros, while the Dow Jones index is up around 0.3%.
