Fedex: adjusted net income doubles in Q4
(CercleFinance.com) - Fedex has reported revenue of 22.
6 billion for Q4 2021 (i.e., 31 May 2021), up almost 30% y-o-y (17.6 billion dollars).
Meanwhile, quarterly adjusted net income came in at 1.36 billion dollars, more than double that of a year ago (663 million dollars). This brought quarterly adjusted EPS to 5.01 dollars, slightly above market expectations.
For FY 2021, Fedex reported revenue of 84 billion dollars (up from 69.2 billion dollars a year earlier), while FY adjusted net income reached 4.89 billion dollars, compared to 2.49 billion dollars twelve months earlier. Finally, FY adjusted EPS reached 18.17 dollars, almost double the 9.5 dollars the previous year.
The company expects the strong momentum to continue in FY 2022, with its investments focused on the highest growth and highest return areas, it said.
After finishing up over 2% yesterday, at a glance the share is actually down over 4% in pre-market trading on Friday, however.
