Facebook: WhatsApp still as popular
(CercleFinance.com) - According to data communicated today by Statista, the messaging service WhatsApp has “more than tripled” its number of users since its purchase by Facebook in 2014.
The transaction, which cost the US social networking site a little over 19 billion dollars, surprised some commentators as it seemed an inordinate amount for that kind of service. “Since then, the number of WhatsApp users has more than tripled. It has become the most popular messaging service in the world, connecting more than 1.5 billion people all over the world.
