ExxonMobil: sells Norwegian non-operated upstream assets
(CercleFinance.com) - ExxonMobil had signed an agreement with Norwegian independant firm Var Energi for the sale of its non-operated upstream assets in Norway for 4.
5 billion dollars, the US oil giant said on Thursday.
The deal includes the company's stakes in over 20 producing fields that are mainly operated by Norwegian oil giant Equinor, representing a combined production of approximately 150,000 barrel of oil equivalent per day in 2019.
The sale is part of Exxon's previously announced plans to divest approximately 15 billion dollars in non-core assets by 2021.
