ExxonMobil: to proceed with Gulf Coast project

(CercleFinance.com) - ExxonMobil and SABIC today announce that they have decided to start building a chemical facility and ethane steam cracker in San Patricio County, Texas.


This site is expected to create thousands of jobs (6,000 during construction and 600 permanent jobs thereafter), with an economic output of several billion, the group estimates. Construction is scheduled to begin in the third quarter, with a startup in 2022.
