eBay: completes sale of ticketing unit StubHub

(CercleFinance.com) - eBay said on Friday that it has completed the sale of its ticketing unit StubHub to ticket reseller viagogo for 4.
05 billion dollars in cash.

The online auction company said that the deal is a "great outcome" regarding its sale price, as the deal's completion brings in net proceeds of 3.1 billion dollars.

As a result, eBay plans to expand its share buyback plans for 2020 from 1.5 billion dollars to 4.5 billion dollars.

eBay shares were up over 2% in pre-market trading on Friday.
