Dow: EPS plunges 60% for third quarter
(CercleFinance.com) - The chemicals group Dow publishes operating EPS for the quarter just gone of 1.
11 dollars, compared to 2.75 dollars for the same period last year, as well as operating EBIT down 11 points to 8.5%.
At more than 14.1 billion dollars, its sales are down 5% year-on-year, with local price rises having been more than offset by unfavourable foreign exchange fluctuations and reduced volumes.
CEO Jim Fitterling says: “In the near-term, we expect the macro environment to remain dynamic”, whilst also highlighting a series of measures likely to deliver more than one billion dollars in cost savings in 2023.
