Dollar General: solid annual forecasts

(CercleFinance.com) - Before Wall Street opened this Thursday Dollar General reported Q4 EPS of 2.
63 dollars, 1.14 dollar higher than a year ago.

Adjusted EPS was bang in line with the consensus of 1.48 dollar.
However, sales disappointed, which increased by just 100 million dollars y-o-y to 6.1 billion dollars, while the consensus was looking for 6.2 billion dollars.

Dollar General has nevertheless increased its quarterly dividend by 12% to 29 cents per share and expects EPS of between 5.95 dollars and 6.15 dollars at the end of 2018. Less confident, the market expects 5.63 dollars.
