Disney: 'Incredibles 2' tops global box office, sets record

(CercleFinance.com) - Disney had a strong weekend with Pixar's "Incredibles 2" smashing new records and posting the highest animation debut of all time, comScore said on Monday.


The movie raked in180 million dollars in North America and added another 51.5 million dollars in 25 territories, totaling 231.5 million dollars for its opening weekend, the audience company said.

Universal's "Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom" ranked second for its second weekend, earning 173.6 million dollars and totaling 370 million dollars since its release.

Note that the film has yet to open in North America where it debuts later this week.
