Walt Disney: Q2 earnings above expectations.

(CercleFinance.com) - Last night, Walt Disney reported Q2 results which included a 11.
4% increase in earnings to 2.4 billion dollars.

The media group took advantage of the successful launch of the Shangai Disney Resort amusement park at. Excluding extraordinary items, EPS reached 1.5 dollar, 10 cents better than the consensus.

Although up 2.8% to 13.34 billion dollars, however revenues fell short of expectations, as analysts were expecting 13.45 billion dollars. The contribution from the group's TV business reached 4.06 billion dollars, up 2.7%, although slightly below the 4.09 billion that the market was expecting.
