Costco: Q4 EPS above expectations

39 billion dollars for its fourth fiscal quarter, meaning EPS that is up 27% to 3.13 dollars, therefore beating the consensus by 30 cents.

The warehouse distributor's sales increased by 12.5% to 52.3 billion dollars as reported. On a comparable basis and adjusted for currency and gasoline price effects, they increased by 14.1% - with a 91.3% leap in online sales.

The Issaquah-based group (Washington State) posted FY net profit of 4 billion dollars, or 9.02 dollars per share, for a 9.3% increase in sales to 163.2 billion dollars.
