Coca-Cola: beats consensus in Q2

(CercleFinance.com) - Coca-Cola has reported Q2 2020 comparable (non-GAAP) EPS that down one third at 42 cents, albeit two cents higher than the conensus.


The soft drinks giant saw its comparable operating margin decline by 0.3 point to 30% on revenues of 7.2 billion dollars, down 26% in organic terms, with the crisis having badly hit beverage consumption outside the home.

While Coca-Cola believes that the second quarter will be the most badly affected period of the year, given ongoing uncertainty around the pandemic, lockdowns and related restrictions, it warns that the final impact on its FY 2020 results remains unknown.
