Citigroup: Q3 results above expectations.

com) - Published before Wall Street opened on Thursday, alongside those of JPMorgan, Citigroup's Q3 results included net profit of 4.1 billion dollars, 1.42 dollar per share, vs. EPS of 1.24 dollar a year earlier.

The consensus was less confident, expecting EPS of 1.32 dollar.
Citigroup's revenues also exceeded expectations, reaching 18.2 billion dollars, compared with 17.8 billion dollars in the previous Q3 and 17.9 billion dollars expected by the consensus.

In particular, revenues increased by 9% at the Institutional Clients Group division, where they reached 8.2 billion dollars, and rose by 3% at the Global Consumer Banking division to 8.4 billion dollars.
