Chevron: drilling contract awarded to Transocean

(CercleFinance.com) - The Swiss oil services group Transocean announces the signature with Chevron of a contract for design and construction management, as well as a drilling contract for a term of five years, representing an estimated value of $830 million.


This agreement covers one of the ultra-deepwater drilling ships currently being constructed at the Jurong shipyard in Singapore. It is due to begin operating in the Gulf of Mexico in the second half of 2021.
