Boeing: wins $92m contract with US Army

(CercleFinance.com) - Boeing has announced that it has been selected by the US Army to produce additional units of NGATS, a next-generation automated test system, with a contract worth up to 92 million dollars over three years.


NGATS is a unique automated mobile diagnostic tool that detects potential failures on over 100 components. NGATS eliminates manual troubleshooting and component disassembly, reducing maintenance hours.

One armoured brigade combat team noted that NGATS saved them about 26 million dollars in repair costs in five months, Boeing says.

Potentially considered as just a fly in the sky for the giant planemaker, the share is up just a fraction (+0.6%) in pre-market exchanges before the opening bell today.
