Boeing: Artemis I on its way to lunar orbit
(CercleFinance.com) - Boeing has announced that NASA's Artemis I mission, powered by a Boeing-built core stage, lifted off last night from Kennedy Space Center.
After just over eight minutes, the core stage completed its mission and separated from the rocket's upper stage, sending NASA's Orion spacecraft on its first trip around the moon.
For the first time in 50 years, the United States has a capability to launch very heavy objects into space, Boeing said.
