Berkshire Hathaway: tricky start to the year.

(CercleFinance.com) - Berkshire Hathaway disappointed investors when it unveiled results for the first three months of its fiscal year.


The holding company of the American tycoon Warren Buffett, whose share is down 1.2% after about an hour of trading on Wall Street, on Monday reported a dismal 27% fall in net income to 4.06 billion dollars, or EPS of 2.469 dollars per share.

The consensus was more optimistic, expecting 2.666 dollars per share.
The group's operating income also fell, declining 5% y-o-y to 3.56 billion dollars.
