Bank of America: Q3 EPS above estimates

(CercleFinance.com) - Bank of America has announced Q3 net income (excluding impairment charges) that is up 4% at 7.
5 billion dollars, or 75 cents per share, i.e. EPS that is seven cents above the consensus.

Net interest income at the Charlotte, North Carolina based bank was virtually flat at 22.8 billion dollars, boosted by investment banking fees and higher net interest income .

Chief Financial Officer Paul Donofrio, said, "We remained disciplined in managing expenses and responsible in our approach to underwriting, which led to continued low costs
and strong asset quality."
