Apple: Jony Ive's departure now effective

(CercleFinance.com) - Back in June, Apple released a statement announcing the forthcoming departure of Jony Ive.
It's now happened: has left Apple, after 27 years' service with the tech giant.

While his name is not quite iconic in the group, Steve Jobs' right-hand man had the role of Apple's Chief Design Officer. In other words, he was the designer of many of its products, including the appearance of the iPhone, the iMac and even the iPad. The announcement of his forthcoming departure indeed raised concerns amongst Apple fans and investors alike.

However, Jony Ive is not retiring from the design of technological products altogether, as he has set up his own studio, Loveform Jony. Neither does it refrain from working with Apple again in one way or another, with both parties having announced plans to collaborate in the near future.
