American Airlines: big loss in Q4

42 dollar per share, on revenues of 9.4 billion dollars, down 17% y-o-y.
The airline highlights a 13% reduction in the total number of available seat miles (ASM) compared to the same period two years ago, in a context that is still dogged by the consequences of the pandemic on the airline sector.
As a result, American Airlines reported an adjusted net loss of 2 billion dollars for FY 2021, with periods of strong travel demand offset by periods of declining demand due to new Covid-19 variants.
