American Airlines: Q4 in line with expectations

(CercleFinance.com) - Published before Wall Street opens this Thursday, American Airlines' Q4 results included EPS excluding extraordinary items of 1.
04 dollar, against 93 cents for the same period a year earlier, in line with analysts' estimates.

Revenues for the period came in at 10.94 billion dollars, against 10.7 billion dollars a year ago. Finally, the airline's net income is also upbeat, reaching 481 million dollars, against 444 million dollars in Q4 2017.

However, over FY 2018 non-GAAP EPS fell from 5.27 dollars in 2017 to 4.55 dollars, as did the group's net income, which dropped from 2.6 billion dollars to 2.12 billion dollars. However, sales rose to 44.55 billion dollars in 2018 against 42.63 billion a year earlier.
