American Airlines: satisfactory end to 2017

(CercleFinance.com) - Published before Wall Street opens this Thursday, American Airlines' Q4 accounts included EPS of 54 cents, down 2 cents relative to Q4 2016.


However, excluding extraordinary items, the US airline generated EPS of 95 cents, compared to a slightly lower consensus of 92 cents.

Meanwhile, revenues increased by more than expected by the consensus, reaching 10.6 billion dollars, against 9.8 billion dollars a year earlier and 10.57 billion dollars forecast by the market.

Finally, note the one percentage point increase in the average load factor of the group's aircraft to 83% over the last quarter.
