Amazon: new AWS-Nvidia collaboration in AI

(CercleFinance.com) - On Wednesday Amazon Web Services, the cloud subsidiary of Amazon.
com, announced the signing of a collaboration agreement with the manufacturer of graphics processors Nvidia in the field of computing infrastructure dedicated to artificial intelligence (AI).

This multi-faceted cooperation focuses on the implementation of optimised infrastructures for the "LLM" technology, or large language model, a machine learning system that generates a sentence by predicting the word most frequently associated with the previous term.

This also aims to help design "generative" AI applications, which use existing content to learn and generate new content.

In detail, Amazon plans to combine its scalable cloud hosting service "Amazon EC2" with Nvidia's H100 Tensor Core architecture to deliver 20 exaFLOPS computing performance.
