Alphabet: Google signs strategic partnership with China's JD

's Google will invest 550 million dollars in cash in JD.com as part of a strategic partnership with the Chinese e-commerce company.

Google and JD say they plan to collaborate on seveal strategic initiatives, including the joint development of retail solutions in Asia, the US and Europe.

The partnership will be based on JD's supply chain and logistics expertise and Google's technology strengths, they say.
