AMD: adjusted EPS nearly triples in Q1
(CercleFinance.com) - On Tuesday night AMD reported non-GAAP net income that is up 189% at 642 million dollars for the first three months of 2021, representing 52 cents per share, which exceeds the consensus.
The Santa Clara-based chipmaker saw its adjusted gross margin hold steady at 46% on revenues that jumped 93% to 3.44 billion dollars, supported by the computing and graphics segment, amongst others.
AMD's management expects adjusted gross margin for the current quarter to be around 47%, with revenues up 87% at around 3.6 billion dollars, give or take 100 million dollars.
