AT&T: takes control of Otter Media

(CercleFinance.com) - AT&T has announced that it has taken control of Otter Media, with the acquisition of The Chernin Group's majority stake in this company, which both groups founded together in 2014.


The financial terms of the deal were not specified.

Otter Media owns Ellation, an online subscription video service provider, with offers under the Crunchyroll and VRV brands, as well as the digital media company Fullscreen, with its brand Rooster Teeth.

The group - which has a global audience of 93 million unique viewers per month - will be integrated into the AT&T WarnerMedia unit, and Tony Goncalves, who was appointed Otter's CEO earlier this year, will remain in office.
