Assa Abloy: buys Irish alarm maker HKC

(CercleFinance.com) - Assa Abloy has acquired HKC, an Irish manufacturer of alarms and cloud monitoring solutions, the Swedish lockmaker said on Monday.


Assa said HKC's portfolio of wired and wireless alarm products, as well as monitoring solutions, complement its existing offer on the Irish market.

Dublin-based HKC was established in 1991 and has about 45 employees. In 2018 its sales are expected to reach around 18 million euros, with the group reporting a sound EBIT margin.

While not disclosing the terms of the deal, Assa Abloy said the acquisition will have an immediately accretive impact on its EPS.
