Alfa Laval: two orders for ballast water treatment systems

(CercleFinance.com) - Swedish engineering firm Alfa Laval said that it has signed two agreements for its ballast water treatment system, in addition to the eight fleet agreements signed earlier this year.


The agreements for the chemical free ballast water treatment systems were signed by two ship owners to secure compliance with regulations: Denmark's TORM and Japan's Nippon Yusen Kabushiki Kaisha.

The two latest fleet agreements include the delivery of systems for retrofitting onboard 80 vessels, Alfa said.

The vast majority of the equipment will be delivered before 2022, it added.
