Alfa Laval: wins heat exchanger order in China

(CercleFinance.com) - Swedish engineering group Alfa Laval has won an order to supply heat exchangers to a petrochemicals plant in China in a deal worth approximately 120 million Swedish kronor (about 12 million euros).


The order consists of large heat exchangers to be used to recover and reuse energy in different steps in the chemical process of producing components for polystyrene production, the company said.

According to McKinsey consultants, China is expected to represent up to 60% of global specialty chemical demand growth through 2025.

Deliveries are scheduled for 2018 and 2019.
