Telia: starts 5G roaming in the Nordics

(CercleFinance.com) - Telia's 5G customers are now able to roam across the company's networks in Finland, Norway and Sweden, the Swedish telecom operator said on Tuesday.


This means that Telia customers can use their mobile phone while travelling abroad, between the 5G-networks that the group is building in those countries.

To use the service, customers need a 5G-ready subscription and smartphone and they need to be in an area where there is 5G-coverage, Telia pointed out.

It said that it plans to continue to expand 5G-roaming to Denmark, Estonia and Lithuania, when commercial 5G-services becomes available in these countries.
