Ericsson: set to acquire Vonage by end of July

(CercleFinance.com) - In a brief statement, Ericsson says it continues to work closely with the Committee on Foreign Investment in the US as it reviews its proposed acquisition of Vonage Holdings.


It says that the merger has cleared all other requisite foreign and US regulatory approval requirements, and that the parties are working to conclude the regulatory process as quickly as possible.

The Scandinavian telecoms equipment maker and the cloud-based communications provider remain fully committed to the transaction and are working to complete it by the end of July 2022.

For the record, last November Ericsson announced that it had agreed to a 6.2 billion dollar cash offer to acquire Vonage - a deal that was expected to close in the first half of the year.
