Ericsson: selected for T-Mobile's 5G US network expansion

(CercleFinance.com) - Sweden's Ericsson has been selected by T-Mobile to provide the US mobile-phone giant with equipment, software, and services as part of a five-year 5G rollout contract.


The telecom gear maker said T-Mobile will leverage its high-performance 5G portfolio and entire spectrum of commercial services to deliver "an even more supercharged 5G experience for all."

Ericsson and T-Mobile have been working together to design, build and expand T-Mobile 5G nationwide network since early 2018. They have been working together for 20 years now.

The announcement comes after T-Mobile unveiled five-year, multi-billion-dollar agreements with both Ericsson and Nokia to continue developing its 5G network.
