Ericsson: acquires Cradlepoint for 1.1 billion dollars

(CercleFinance.com) - Ericsson announces the acquisition of Cradlepoint, the US market leader in WAN 4G and 5G Wireless Edge enterprise solutions.


This investment is critical to Ericsson's current strategy to gain market share in the 5G space, it said.

Cradlepoint complements Ericsson's existing 5G Enterprise portfolio, which includes dedicated networks and a global IoT platform.

The acquisition price is 1.1 billion dollars, with the transaction expected to close by the end of the fourth quarter of 2020.

Cradlepoint's 2019 revenue reached 1.2 billion Swedish kronor (about 120 million euros), with a gross margin of 61%.
