Norwegian: 10 new transatlantic flights from 69 euros.

(CercleFinance.com) - Low-cost airline Norwegian unveiled on Thursday new transatlantic flights that will link five UK and Irish cities to the USA from 69 euros.


This summer Norwegian will launch 10 new routes with 38 weekly transatlantic flights from Edinburgh, Belfast, Cork, Shannon and Dublin to greater New York, Boston and New England areas.

The new transatlantic routes will be operated using brand new Boeing 737 MAX aircraft.

The new US airports that will be served are Stewart International, located 90 minutes away from New York, Providence (Rhode Island), with Boston 90 minutes away, and Bradley International, located in Connecticut, two hours away from New York City.

Transatlantic flights from Dublin will start from 69 euros (one way).

Norwegian already operates low-cost flights to eight major US cities from London Gatwick.

Shares in Norwegian were not reacting much to the news on Thursday in Oslo, down just 0.2% at 250.7 Norwegian krona.
