Equinor: stock down as work-related accidents rise

(CercleFinance.com) - Equinor has announced that the safety results for Q2 2022 over the last 12 months show that the frequency of serious incidents remained at the same level as in the first quarter, while the frequency of accidents causing physical injuries has increased.

Thus, at the end of Q2, the frequency of serious incidents was 0.5 per million hours worked over the last 12 months, compared with 0.4 per million hours worked in the same period a year earlier. Most incidents were related to falling objects, Equinor says.

In the second quarter, the total recordable injury frequency (TRIF) - including serious incidents - over the past 12 months was 2.5 per million hours worked, compared to 2.4 per million hours in the first quarter.

Investors are clearly frowning on this news, with the stock currently down almost 6%.
