Equinor: to develop French floating offshore wind energy

(CercleFinance.com) - Equinor today announced that it has joined forces with RES and Green Giraffe to form Océole, the name given to this triparty partnership dedicated to the development of floating offshore wind energy in France.


Océole intends to participate in the next floating offshore wind tenders issued by the French government.

The three companies want to support France in its goal of becoming one of the leading markets for floating offshore wind in the next decade, with up to 6.8 GW of offshore wind by 2028.
