Telenor: working on data usage app with Google

(CercleFinance.com) - Telenor is working with Google to make it easier for subscribers to manage their mobile data usage and price plans through a new Android functionality, the company said on Monday.


The Norwegian telecoms group said that the app aims to help subscribers manage their mobile data plans and receive relevant alerts when impacted by, for instance, low data balance.

Currently in a pilot stage, the feature will be rolled out to dtac and Digi subscribers in Thailand and Malaysia who use Android, before being extended to other countries in the future.
