Stellantis: supply agreement with Vulcan

(CercleFinance.com) - Stellantis today announced that it has signed an agreement with Vulcan Energy Resources under which Vulcan will supply Stellantis with lithium hydroxide for electric vehicle batteries in Europe.


The agreement provides for deliveries to commence in 2026, for a period of five years, during which time Vulcan will supply between 81,000 and 99,000 tonnes of lithium hydroxide to Stellantis.

The supply agreement remains subject to the successful start of commercial operations at the Vulcan plant and full product qualification, Stellantis said.

The agreement will enable the company to ensure the availability of key raw materials for battery packs for electrified vehicles.

Stellantis plans to invest over 30 billion euros in electrification and software by 2025, it added.
