Technip Energies: cooperation with Baker Hughes

(CercleFinance.com) - On Thursday Technip Energies has announced that its has signed a memorandum of understanding with the US oil services company Baker Hughes to cooperate in the field of liquefied natural gas (LNG).


The engineering group said that this agreement should lay the foundations for a collaboration in the joint development of a new modular LNG solution for the "onshore" market, with a capacity of 1-to-2 million tonnes per year (MTPA).

It says that this aims to reduce the time to market for LNG to meet current energy demand.

Their joint offering will combine Baker Hughes' modular medium-scale LNG (MMS) solution, with a production capacity of 0.8 to 1 MTPA, with Technip Energies' "SnapLNG" solution.

This compact, fully electrified technology for infrastructure ranging from 2 to 3 MTPA covers liquefaction as well as pre-processing and utilities units.
