AkzoNobel: sells former UK paint factory
(CercleFinance.com) - Dutch group AkzoNobel on Friday said it has sold a former paint factory that is found near London, for 75 million euros.
The Slough-based site includes a former manufacturing unit, as well as a research and development facility.
However, paint production ceased on the site in 2016, with operations relocated to AkzoNobel's state-of-the-art facility in the North of the country.
The AkzoNobel UK headquarters and Dulux Academy - also located in Slough - are not included as part of the sale and continue to be actively used by AkzoNobel, the company said.
The deal is expected to generate a one-off gain of 57 million euros.
