ING: achieves CET1 ratio of 10.7% under EU stress tests

(CercleFinance.com) - ING said on Monday that an EU test of its financial health showed it would have had a fully-loaded core equity Tier 1 ratio (CET1) of 10.
7% in 2020 under an "adverse" financial stress scenario.

Under the baseline scenario that was set by the European Banking Authority (EBA), ING would have a fully-loaded CET1 - a key measure of financial strength - of 13.99% in 2020, the Dutch bank added.

In its most recent report, ING published a fully-loaded CET1 ratio of 14% as of 30 September.

The 2018 EU stress tests did not contain a defined pass/fail threshold, but the 2014 stress tests set that banks would fail the test below a CET1 threshold of 5.5%.
