Ahold Delhaize: steps up share buybacks

(CercleFinance.com) - Dutch-based food retailer Ahold Delhaize said that it has bought over 2.
1 million of its own shares for 43.9 million euros in the past week, more than double the amount it spent the week before.

These repurchases were made as part of the 1 billion euros share buyback program that the group announced in November 2018, it said.

To date a total of 24.4 million common shares have been repurchased under this program for a total of 539.5 million euros, Ahold Delhaize added.
