Ahold Delhaize: improves margin in Q2.

(CercleFinance.com) - Ahold Delhaize has announced a 68% increase in Q2 earnings to 355 million euros, with a pro-forma underlying operating margin of 3.
9%, against 3.6% a year earlier.

The Belgo-Dutch distribution group said it benefited from merger synergies ahead of its forecasts, as well as a 3.4% growth in pro-forma revenue (+1.8% at constant exchange rates ), to 16 billion euros.

Ahold Delhaize is still targeting free cash flow of 1.6 billion euros over FY 2017, and expects total merger synergies of 750 million euros by 2019, 250 million euros of which will be reinvested in its brands.
