Altice: refinances portion of debt; maturity extended

(CercleFinance.com) - Altice Europe has auctioned 2.
5 billion dollars of 8-year term loans, upsized from 2 billion dollars at launch, to refinance a maturing issue at its French unit, the European telecoms group said on Monday.

The new financing will be used by Altice France to call a portion of a 4 billion dollars senior bond issue set to expire in 2022, the Amsterdam-based conglomerate said.

Following the refinancing, the average maturity of Altice France's capital structure has been extended from 6.4 to 6.8 years, Altice added.
