ASML: Q1 sales up at 1.94 billion euros.
(CercleFinance.com) - On Wednesday the Dutch semi-conductor machine specialist reported Q1 2017 sales of 1.
94 billion euros, against 1.91 billion euros a year earlier.
“Healthy demand is expected to continue throughout the rest of the year,” the group said in a statement. Its order backlog has increased and now included 21 extreme ultraviolet lithography systems (EUV) worth 2.3 billion euros.
Over the first three months of the year, ASML's gross margin reached 47.6%, compared with 47.2% a year earlier, while earnings came in at 452 million euros, against 524 million euros in 2016.
