Heijmans: returns to profit in H1 2018

(CercleFinance.com) - The Dutch real estate group Heijmans has published H1 2018 net profit of eight million euros, against a loss of continuing operations of nine million euros in H1 2017.


Underlying EBITDA more than doubled to 20 million euros, thanks to property development and residential construction, with sales up 21% at 780 million euros, despite a decline in the number of homes sold.

Heijmans had a backlog of 2.2 billion euros at end-June 2018, compared to 1.9 billion a year ago, and announced a reduction in its net debt, which has fallen from 45 million euros to 14 million euros y-o-y.
