Euronext: volumes upbeat in April.

(CercleFinance.com) - Euronext, the operator of the Amsterdam, Brussels, Paris and Lisbon stock exchanges, recorded trading volumes that overall were upbeat last month.


In April, average daily volumes traded on Euronext's cash markets rose by 21.7% y-o-y, and were also up 14.4% sequentially, i.e. relative to March. This is the fourth consecutive month of improvements, with the highest average trading volumes (8.5 billion euros) since February 2016. Record volumes were even recorded y-t-d on 24 April, with 15.9 billion euros worth of shares exchanged.

Regarding ETF, the average daily volume reached 549 million euros last month, unchanged over one year and up 7.3% from March.
