Gemalto: contract with French Ministry of the Interior

(CercleFinance.com) - Gemalto Group today announced that it has been chosen by the French Ministry of the Interior to provide a connectivity and security solution for next-generation networks.


This will be used under the PCStorm project by the Internal Security Response Force agents for their critical mobile communications.

“These critical communication networks are migrating towards 4G/5G to benefit from high-speed data connectivity, which enables real-time video applications. The French enforcement agencies will benefit from private mobile broadband coverage from existing public LTE networks and ad-hoc deployable tactical bubbles, in different locations, with secure and dedicated access rights for their personnel. In only seconds, security force agents can intuitively switch between mobile networks, in response to operational requirements or unexpected coverage issues,” the group said.

Gemalto will provide customised SIM cards, eSIMs and subscription management solutions.
