Gemalto: merger with Thales authorised by Canada

(CercleFinance.com) - Thales and Gemalto announced on Thursday that they have obtained the regulatory authorisation regarding foreign investments in Canada from the Canadian minister of Innovation for Thales' recommended cash offer on all of Gemalto's shares.


"Together with the anti-trust clearance obtained in China and Israel, and clearance relating to foreign investments in Australia, Thales and Gemalto have obtained 4 of the required 14 Regulatory Clearances," the companies said in a joint press release.
